Elected officials and company executives joined employees at Eaton Aerospace in Jackson, Mich., today to rally in support of Boeing’s NewGen Tanker, which would support 450 jobs across the state.
Today, employees from Parker Aerospace rallied at their Fort Worth facilities in support of building Boeing’s NewGen Tanker, which would create or support 2,500 jobs across the Lone Star State. If the Air Force selects Boeing to build its new tanker fleet, Parker Aerospace would supply fluid conveyance systems including hoses, tubes and fittings for the NewGen Tanker.
As many of you are aware, on July 9 we submitted our 8,000-page NewGen Tanker proposal to the KC-X program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Employees from the Commercial Airplanes; Defense, Space & Security; and Engineering, Operations & Technology organizations came together as an integrated "One Boeing" team to meet the deadline.
Today, Boeing is proud to announce that building the NewGen Tanker would support 580 jobs in the state of New York, generating an estimated $30 million in annual economic investment.
Yesterday we were in Michigan where folks in the Motor City rallied behind Boeing's NewGen Tanker at the Detroit Metro Airport. More than 100 people visited the Boeing Aerial Refueling Technology trailer (BART) while it was parked in one of the hangars at this major international airport. Visitors saw first-hand a glimpse into the future of tankers while flying the NewGen or refueling a variety of receiver aircraft using the simulators.
